Chocolate Chip Starfish?

Anyone know of them attacking a clam? I just got a clam and saw the starfish envelope it. The clam closed up and suffered no harm, but now I am concerned.
Any thoughts?

Hmm, I have a chocolate chip in my aquarium, I have yet to see it eat anything.
My sister decided it was a good idea to randomly buy me it.
Yeah, thanks but no thanks, anyone want it?
hehe

I have read that they start eating things as they mature.
Mines still pretty small.

General rule of thumb I heard, is if its bumpy its going to eat stuff.

this starfish, like most Asteroid sea stars are patently NOT reef safe. Do search the RC archives and see some of the fine info/articles such as those by Dr. Ron Shimek on this very topic (sea stars).
