Air pump for Snailman CC skimmer

Any suggestions on air pumps for a Snailman CC skimmer?
(any comments on Snailman's CC skimmer would also be appreciated)

I plan on either a 4" or 6" skimmer at about 5 or 6 feet tall. The pressure at those depths would be in the 2.5psi range. There seem to be a variety of pumps that will produce the needed pressure but I must also consider the volume of air, especially if I go with the 6" diameter.

Some pumps I have seen around in my price range:

Eco-plus

Coralife Luft

Whaitewater luft

Anyone have experience with any of these in a skimmer?

Any other suggestions?

Thanks,
Dave

FYI - This is not for my 30g, I am upgrading to either 90g or 110g with a 70g sump in the basement.

Alita air pumps are by far the best out there. They are reliable and very quiet.

There are several online vendors last I checked... eBay has them sometimes as well.

The coralife pump and the Alitas are not in the same class. The coralife may work, but it really depends on the height of the skimmer and how many airstones are needed.

I hope the Alita and the coralife aren't in the same class, the alita is nearly 4 times the price!!!

I wouldn't use anything other than an Alita. Mine was completely filled with SW and i dumped it out, poured in alcohol, swished it around, poured it out, and fired that baby up. It's been running fine for what, maybe 8 - 9 months since? That is a quality pump. Mine runs 100 ltr/min @ 105.5W...

I built a skimmer loosely based on Snailman's designs:

That is a 50g skimmer. Lots more pics and videos on my skimmer page, and you can PM me for info. on where to get an Alita and how I built my skimmer.
