Unhappy Maroon clown problem

Hi all I got a maroon 3 weeks ago
and something is happaning to him I see one white spot on his side
I thik its ich but the reall problem are his fins they all braking apart!!
as well as some look like they were nipped on but I'm sure thats not the case. He's swimming thowards the top of the tank just crouzin in cyrcles. He also eats well and seems always hungry. (good sign)

Whats happaning to him is it some kind of infection? will this spread to other fish?

I'm also able to take him out of the tank and put him in a quarantine
but I think it would stress him to much and kill him

Help please.

Ripped fins are most typically a sign of aggression. If you watch him for a while, do you see any other fish chase him or warn him away? Do you have more than one maroon? It's also possible the fish has Ich or marine velvet and the fish is damaging himself by scratching.

Swimming at the top can be a sign he's trying to escape. It could also be a symptom of protozoan parasites on the gills, such as Ich, marine velvet, or Brooklynella, which are reducing his oxygen intake.

If the fish has Ich or marine velvet, you will need to remove him for effective treatment. You have also exposed all your other fish and there is a pretty good chance they will come down with it also.

Here's a good reference page covering protozoan diseases. I suggest reading through the articles:
