Choose a skimmer..

Hi, I want a new skimmer, but do not know which.

So which skimmer do you recommend to my tank (430 litres, 110 gallons)??

Just shout it out!! (I want to hear YOUR experience, NOT what you have been told..)

(Sorry, bad english..)

Euro Reef RS-180. I am using the RS-135 on my 90 and am very happy with the quality, noise level, and skimmate.

can you only use the rs 180 in a sump? I am thinking about getting the rs-250 for my new 180 gal....Just dont know if I want it in my sump or not.

Yes, the RS series is a sump only system. You would have to buy the recirculating model (CS series) to run outside the sump. Keep in mind the CS series is substantially more expensive.

You might check into the Aqua C EV series. These can be placed either in or out (with a ballast) of the sump.

Having been running one for about a month, it's taken some learning/experience to get the level right, but once it's right, it skims beautifully -- and quietly!

I would go with a Euroreef also, but since you live in Norway i would go with a H&S.Parts and cost would be better on that side of the world.

Just purchased a ETSS Sump Buddy 40 from Aquacave. Takes up little room and works great. Good Luck
