Why are Apple computers so expensive?

I just don't get it.

Go to their website and look for the link to their factory refurbished section.

I picked up 2 Macbook laptops for me and the misses for just a little over $900.00 ea. They were in fully sealed boxes and included the standard 1 year warranty. Also, it appers they didn't have 2 of what we wanted so when they arrived we discovered one had bumped up memory and a bigger hard drive. We also bought a refurb'd ipod from them as well for my step son.

They don't make low-end crap.

Price their notebooks against sony, dell or HP. If you go with the same specs, the Apple is frequently cheaper. It's also generally lighter and thinner.

Hmm. I must admit that I was an anti-Apple person until very recently. I didn't like the old school iMac and the iPod wave pushed me over the edge. Of course when my former mp3 player kicked the bucket I caved and got an iPod and love it. I've used the iPhone and am seriously considering picking one up. My computer is about 7 years old and when it goes I think I'm going to pick up a Macbook.

I don't really have anything against Apple products, it's the Apple users that bug me.

I have and use an Apple Mac Mini. Best computer I have owned and I have had a Dell and a Sony. I'll take no viruses any day and it runs smooth 24/7.

it's so expensive because they have to pay for those queer commercials......

Leopard looks pretty cool from the 2 minutes I saw it yesterday. According to my co-worker they addressed some wep issue where you had to pick what type you were using..now you don't
