Unhappy skimmer overflowing long after chemi-cleen

I have a 55 gallon reef. I dosed with chemi-cleen a week ago and have since done two, ten gallon water changes and the skimmer still will not settle down. If I plug it in, it will fill in less than 2 minutes. My skimmer is a euro-reef es-5-2. Should I do another water change or is something else amiss?

let the skimmer do a water change for you - hook up a drain line and just let it run for half an hour and suck out a few gallons. You'll be getting rid of the "worst" water.

I'm dealing with the same problem,55 gal ES5-2 skimmer, I used chemi-clean I week ago yesterday, skimmer is still going nuts. I have probably changed 20 gallons of water since I used chemi-clean. I will try adding carbon back to the system.

esadagi,

Any luck yet? I added carbon a couple days ago but I'm still having the same problem (a little better, skimmer takes longer to overflow).

Yes. All better now. I used a drain tube in my skimmer and let it skim about 4 gallons and replaced it with fresh salt water. Running great now. Peace at last.
