crocea clam losing color... any ideas why

My purple/blue crocea clam is losing color... it has been a dull lavendar/light purple for a few weeks now. It isnt behaving any differently... still attached to a piece of LR higher in my aquarium... still very reactive. Anyone know of any reason why it would change colors like this?

Tony, If all other parameters like NO3, NO2, NH3, light are OK. Check for Iodine and parasites. Good luck

Thanks Simon, I will check that out.

Gabe, there are tiny white snails ALL OVER my tank... I thought one of my snails had spawned or something... lemme see if they are on the clam or not. If they are... what does this mean and what should I do? I thought those snails were a good sign... (

Awe man... I think I have pyramid snails! Someone PLEASE tell me what I can do to get rid of these! They appear to be slowly killing my clam... they are EVERYWHERE... on the rocks, glass, everything at night, once lights have been out for an hour or so.... anything I can do or add to the tank to get rid of em!? Maybe a yellow wrasse? I have a six line in there, and it is useless... never has nipped at the snails before, and the tank is overrun with em!

HELPPP!

Are you talking about the little white snails that come out at night? I do not have a clam but man do I have those snails, everywhere. Didn;t think they were hurting anything, and if they are pryamids I am sure glad I have not put a clam in there yet.
