Any decent test kit for pH?

Is there a test kit that works fairly well or do you need one of those pinpoint monitors? Thanks!

Since pH is not a big deal(as alkalinity calcium etc) and there is a wide acceptable range(8.0-8.6dkH),plus the majority ofpH problems seem to be related to lack of flow/oxygen/co2 exchange I would not worry about it too much.
That said--you can't beat the pin point. I use the pin point but what I am now considering is getting the aquacontroller for everything and pH monitoring is part of it. So in effect I wasted a 100 dollars I could have used toward the aquacontroller.

The test kits are really crappy, you can never get a very good number off them and matching the colors. You could go with a pinpoint monitor but if your going to spend that much I suggest just going with an aquacontroller jr.

pH is very important and you should monitor and check it every once in a while, otherwise problems with O2/flow/co2 might bite you in the butt.
