Question about fragging rics and zoas

I have ricordias that I wanted to frag but I have no idea how to go about it. Can someone pls. direct me to the right direction on how to do this? Also where can I get those frag disc?

zoas... wait til they spread and frag. I've never fragged single polyp zoanthids before. lol.

rod, just cut it (rics) and glue them to a frag disc, you can also rubberband them in the center. as for the frag disc, i get mine from http://www.bostonaquafarms.com/

For zoa's just wait till they mat out and cut them off.

I frag rics by cutting them in half and placing them in a small pyrex bowl that has LR rubble in the bottom. I found that halving them instead of quartering them gave a higher success rate due to the cuts healing faster. They attach themselves in a few days and then you can super glue the rubble piece anywhere without disturbing the critter.

I ended up finding a titanium scissors for cutting them. It gives as clean a cut as stainless steel surgical scissors just without the ferrous alloy. Using the rubble method, I found I could even cut though the rubble piece with them after letting the ric heal for 4 to 6 weeks.

Im also going to try and frag some rics soon.....The problem with my tank though is I have some pretty good flow....How do I stop them from floating away if I dont glue them?

maybe put a tupperware bowl above your tank with a line dripping water in it, but leave it in a spot where it can overflow back into the tank.
