LOL! Well, it hardly counts, but the only one I've been able to keep alive so far, I got as about 3-polyps on some LR I acquired from a local friend moving cross-country (he was selling/parting out his reef to friends in the area, and i got a lot of his LR)... That little red thing in the center of the pic.

This one, I got from Mustang a few months ago, has unfortunately met the fate of all the other encrusting monti's I've tried to keep... they just slowly start withering and dying off, no matter where I place them in the tank. Sad, too, 'cuz it's a beauty of a coral, and was a generous sized frag (despite apperances, that's 2" PVC behind it).

Wasn't me! I've had my colony for over a year now I believe. I'm sure I can come up with a frag to swap with you. Just send me a PM. The one I really want to find is the orange encrusting Monti with the blue polyps. I haven't seen any in quite some time. I should have gotten them when I had the chance.

This is my nearly 3 year old M. efflourenses. Slow grower for a monti and took a beating during my Crystal Sea/ IO adventure last year but has made a marvelous comeback.

mane,

ya it is a pretty sweet monti, so it that rainbow

i'll put that on the list for ya, but I'm also in the middle of trying to get Kris a frag too.

btw, the cyphastrea is still trying to adapt to my lights...i had to move it too indirect light as it was starting to pale out. as soon as it starts looking healthy we'll do a trade.
