Thanks for the info, i know the are very hard to keep but i figured i would give it my best shot and see what happens, there are many situations where diffult corals somehow survive and easy ones don't so will see

feed it phyto feast 3-5 times per day. It needs strong laminar flow too. thats a big key to the success of them. also feed roti feast everyday too.

Not an expert on these but I know that they need a LOT of food which will usually lead to MAJOR excess nutrient levels (ie very dirty tank). Good luck though...

i reaquascape, Kreeger1 what is laminar flow?

laminar flow is dispersed flow. not a conventional powerhead those are more of a direct flow. more like the tunze or korilias. you can get the fitting from hydore to convert your powerhead to laminar flow.

actually laminar is from one direction only, it can come from any source ie powerheads, returns, stream pumps. But ts coming from one direction not random side to side from wave makers or the like.
That sure is a nice dendro/scerlo Does the coral have little white pieces inside the skin of the coral...sort of like little thin rice pieces? erik |

Thats pretty much what I said, one direction not turbulent like a wave maker.
To recreate laminar flow in tanks, the flow needs to come from one side of the tank only and not bounce off the walls to create a random pattern Erik |

Erik thanks for the info , if you look in the second photo i posted to the right youll see a small powerhead the blows straight in one direction. and to answer your question yes there is white flakes that look like rice under the white part of the coral
