Goby I.D.
Just purchased what my lfs had listed as a worm goby but I'm thinking it may be a neon, almost black with silver, is it the same fish or are there two seperate sub species. Sory, no photo available yet, still have to train him to pose for the camera

Thanks Aquabucket, I think you maybe right, although mine seems black and white stripes. He is really active, its been a great night, I just bought him and an algea blenny, both juveniles, he is all over the tank, and after lights out the blenny is sitting up and or jumping up the glass just like a puppy. God I love this hobby. Sorry about the late reply, my wife insisted on borrowing HER laptop.

Good deal - FYI many of the Gobisoma species are reared in captivity so you don't need to buy wild caught Carribean gobies. ORA has been offering these captive bred for several years!
Word of warning these are not long lived fish in nature maybe a few years at most so I reccomend buying a small juvenile if possible. Also despite some people claiming that captive bred will not clean I have not had this problem and these buys make EXCELLENT cleaners for other fish. |
