Reducing PH
I used the Salifert kit to test Calcium and its oos over 500 ppm and my PH is oos over 8.6. did a 10 % change last night and going to do another 5 % per day. I only have softies but I got the kit 'cause I'm going to try an open brain when these parameters are satisfactory.
1. How do I reduce my Ph ? 2. Any one know of a safe additive ? 3. Using the B ionic Buffering solution # 1 will just raise my Ph more won't it ?

Are you talking 15 dkh? That is pretty high. I would avoid adding any more alk supplements for awhile. 12 is about as high as you want to be. If you alk gets too high your calcium usually takes a dive.
