Greetings from Tokyo!!!

I just wanted to wish everyone a safe and happy New Year!

I'm in Tokyo right now and we are heading off to a Ryokkan (tradition Japanese hotel) in Nikko.

I'll post some pictures later this week

Cheers,

Jim

I realize you're in Tokyo, but if you get a chance to go to Okinawa, make a trip to Naha for me. I haven't been there since i was 9 (good god that was 22 years ago) but there were all kinds of weird things to see and do. Also, stop by Kadena airbase and say hello for me. Have fun.

Thanks guys!!! Tokyo is 18 hours ahead so right now its 11:15 on Wed the 2nd

Paul, I got her a ring last year Now I just need to talk her into coming back to Sac instead of me going to Japan.... Not an easy accomplishment, because she prefers the big city life

Davey, last night my girlfriend's mom bought 3lbs of fresh maguro. We cut it up and ate it raw with some nori and ikura...... nothing quite like homemade sushi/sashimi....amazing.....

Matt, Okinawa is pretty far, but if I ever make in down to southern Japan, I'll be sure and stop by

Tim, if you have a table I'd love to come check out your tank

Right now we are on our way to get some Ramen at my favorite Ramen shop (Ramen Ji-Ro) and then off to an remodeled aquarium in Shinagawa station!!!

I'd post some pics but I didn't bring my camera and my girlfriends Sony Cybershot requires a memory card/usb adapter to download pictures (also on list of things to do today ). As soon as I get that, I'll share with you all the beautiful places I have seen

Cheers,

Jim

Tokyo is a cool city if you can manage the subway system and the crowds!

Seventh Heaven in downtown Tokyo is a great club...the $40 cover charge is a little steep though. Have fun and enjoy!

Tokyo is awesome.. we spent last christmas there. Yokohama has a nice large aquarium and all the shops are underground..

Kyoto has some cool ancient seen and shops. Visit the golden Palace and emperor palace.

Nagasaki is pretty nice too, we visited the Peace Museum. Feels pretty weird, seeing old Japanese people visitng and crying and here I am feeling guilty..We come out of that place speachless..

Japan is fun place and Hella cold right now..

Alright, I reformatted some pictures, but its takes so long to size them and upload them to photobucket, I only did few.

Here is Shinagawa Station. This is a typical train station in Tokyo. Fortunately it was not crowded!

Here are some pictures from the beautiful a very historic town of Nikko.

This garden is 200 years older than our country!!

And for all of you car freaks, I was fortunate enough to vist the Nissan Gallery (Dealership) at the Ginza in Tokyo the day after the unveiled the new Skyline GTR. Soon to be released in they states

One thing I learned on this visit is that if you buy a new Japanese car, you sit down with a sales rep and choose all of your options. They then send the order to the factory and custom build your car for you. It is then delivered in 2 weeks to your front door. They only have a few cars onsite, none of which can be purchased.
