Excaliber Skimmer-good?

I've been using this skimmer for a long time and now after reading some threads I'm wondering if it is any good? I have it on a 55 gal.

No, it is not very good. It is less than what most of us would consider adequate.

Is yours the smaller one of the two they offered? Is it a hang on?
Are you having any problems that point to a deficiency in your skimmer?
