Thanks

Both tangs and rabbitfish will graze certain species of calurpa. It depends on the individual fish too; some won't, but most will.

it has a toxin in it that is not good for tangs or rabbit fish. so it wont really be healthy for them

A scribbled rabbit will, but is apt to eat your frogspawn or hammer. Some purple tangs will, but you need to test that particular fish before buying. Mine cleaned out my caulerpa in a week.

My foxface, emperor angel, regal tang, sailfin tang, purple tang, and a few others eat calerpa. I drop some into the display from my refugium as a change from nori about once a week, and it is always gone by a few hours. My fish and inverts will eat cheato as well, and once in awhile a few florets of broccoli. Just keeping things varied.

Thanks everyone. I forwarded this link to a friend and he has decided to manually remove the culerpra as needed. He has a small tank and I have been trying to talk him out of bigger herbivore and you guys did a great job.
