Lemonpeel picking?
I really want a lemonpeel angel but I hear they are the worst angels as far as nipping and picking goes. Is this true? Has anyone had any luck with them? Or do any angel enthusiasts think Ill have any luck with it if I feed 2-3 times a day?

I have one, he started picking at sps as soon as he got the chance, 28 hours later, he no longer has the chance ;c).

They are ferocious coral munchers. Only suitable for FOWLR.

I have mine in a 55 FOWLR and a couple zenia and zoos and he has never sampled but he is very agressive and may be coming out due to harassing all the other fish especially the fire fish. He is a beautiful fish but mine is the boss.

This fish would be the centerpiece fish of my 29gal display. The only tank inhabitants would (hopefully) be the Lemonpeel and 3 green chromis, plus 3 crocea clams. The clam mantles are what Im really worried about.

They are one of the most non-reefsafe angels.

I wouldn't do it for two reasons:
1) Lemonpeels get pretty good sized for dwarf angels - not sure a 29 is really big enough for a very active and territorial fish that can get 14 cm (for C. flavissima). The false lemonpeel is a bit smaller, at 10 cm (for C. heraldi). I think I'd keep either of these in a tank no smaller than a 55... 2) I really think clam mantles would be too tempting for almost any dwarf angel. Here's a decent article from WWM: http://www.wetwebmedia.com/c_flavissimus.htm |

The clams will be mantle-less fairly quickly.
