Thank you MarineFlora.Com

I just recently started my tank(10G office tank) and people on Bay Area Reefers forum were kind enough to provide me with some starter corals.

One of the best corals turned out to be zoas from Marine Flora. This guy was vry kind to send me a sample pack of zoas. Returning a favor I post pictures of this nice corals here to say Thank You.

I also would like to mention that the frags are big. Some had 30 polyps are opened very fast. Some of them opened within minutes.

I'd also request a help from fellow RC member to identify the names of this zoas.

Here's how the corals were packaged (the box contained the icepack to fight California heat):

I just received my zoa frag pack from Sam at Marineflora.com and I am STOKED!! Christmas came in June for me this year!! Sam sent me all kinds of colors, the packing was amazing (triple-bagged, like Zepp mentioned), shipping took only 1 day, and Sam even threw in a couple of nice bonuses as well! The red macro got thrown into the 'fuge to grow for my tangs! The zoo's are just acclimating now, but I can't wait for them to open up!

If you guys want some amazing zoo's - I highly recommend Sam at MarineFlora.com.

After hearing so many great things about this MarineFlora.com, I decided to check it out myself. The drive out from Davis, CA was well worth the trip. I was blown away by Sam's selection. He has so many nice zoanthids that he doesn't even list on his website!! I asked him why does he list them on the website. He said he includes them in the frag packs.

Oh and if your looking for macroalgae, hes the source to go to. I didn't know there was so many types of macros!! I spent a hour drooling over his selection of colorful zoanthids before walking away with the monster zoanthid 15 frag pack. It really should be named the godzilla pack with all the freebies he included! Sam is a stand-up guy with top notch corals. I highly recommend anybody to do business with Sam. You won't be disappointed with the corals or macroalgaes he has. Thanks again, Sam

Thought I'd share my experience since we're on marineflora. I went by there a week ago. I love zoanthids and was very happy to see the selection there. There were a lot of them and with good colors. The only down side is that there were so many with catchy colors that my budget couldn't afford to pay for them. Sam hooked me up though with the little budget I had. I hope he continues to pick up the level of variety and color he had last week. Also I hope he continues to get other types of coral.

I think anyone looking for zoanthid packs should definitely look into marineflora.

I'm not a macroalgae guy, so all I can say is there definitely was a good size tub of it

Keep up the good work Sam.

Super Sam's House of Frags

Wow, are those raspberry limeaids the thread starter got????? They sure look like it if they aren't- Super dooper sweet! I am ordering from Sam now, too.... I got the $89.99 frag pack. I wish I could have gotten the monster pack, and I might still do it too, if the hubby really goes on the business trip he's planning... LOL I can't wait to get them!

Thought I would say something here about shipping- it was really nice that Sam offers several kinds, of varying prices so you can get the manner of shipping you can afford. On Ebay some of those guys want $62 to ship!!! I'd rather spend the money on the frags, than the shipping. At Sam's. I used the USPS, and it was dirt cheap. Sam even decided when was best to ship it out so it wouldn't sit around at the USPS on a Sunday. Thanks, Sam!! Thanks also, you guys, for sending us to a commercial guy who acts like a hobbyist.

Just ordered some different varieties of Sam's macro algae. Super sweet looking macros!!!! The quality of the pieces and size of the macros were amazing; especially the "rose petals". Sam's commitment to excellent customer service is second to none. Reading these threads and seeing the pictures, I had no idea that Sam's zoas were that sweet. I've got to give him another call.

Guys,

I just came from Sam's house (MarineFlora). Drove there on a Friday night after work. It took my 3 hours to get there. But, it was all worth it. Sam hooked my up. I bought one of his packages. Not only that he had some amazing Zoos, he HOOKED my up with some free frags and cleanup crew. (guess for drivin over so late) Sam is a really honest person, what you see is what you get. His corals are healthy and very colorful.

I would highly recommend Sam to any one that looking for some Zoo.

Thanks Sam,
Ed

Oh my gosh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I just got my frag pack from Sam!!!!

I give him Five Stars, Perfect Score on shipping. I ordered using USPS Priority mail and kind of expected to lose a frag or so due to that, but they are all acclimating well- and some were even opening 30 minutes later. They were double bagged in little bags perfect to keep them from moving in the box, with empty bags of water and newspaper cushioning them in a styrofoam box that fit the inside of the priority mail box perfectly. He also had a cold pack in there the size of my hand.

There are extra bags in it and I am acclimating them right now... I counted 15 bags!!!!! And I only ordered nine! It was like Christmas AND my birthday...!

I knew Sam liked to include extras, but WOW! He included 6 extra frags in my order- and so far all of them are acclimating well. One is already open that has 40-45 polyps on it, half brightly colored yellow polyps, and the rest are bright green! They all look like they are bright, cool colors- no duds like brown!

I will post pictures later on tonight as soon as my hubby gets home with our digital camera. Wicked awesome job, Sam- I will NEVER order from another website other than yours ever again. You ROCK!

MarineFlora.com :D

Oh sorry, I did see it and put it in the tank- I was just sooo excited about the zoas I forgot to say it on here... LOL I also found two micro brittlestars that were cool- about the size of a quarter each. I watched them crawl out of the rock base of one of the frags. Pretty darn tootin sweet. Thanks Sam!

Oh really? What colors did he get, or did he say? I saw a bunch of them on the Photobucket link. It's cool that now you can see his stock as it sits in the tanks for a WYSIWYG effect, even if it is before they are fragged.
