Easy question on two part recipe
I say easy because I'm not asking for a reccomendation on a replace dow product
Heres the question... Is it nessacerry or benificial to shake the already made two part solution before dosing in the tank? I have been doing this from day one, I guess because I usaully shake things before I pour them, kinda like orange juice. It recently occured to me however that I may be dropping the ph by mixing in co2. Thanks, Greg |

There's no need for shaking, but it won't do any harm, either. If there's a lot of undissolved chemicals, though, the solution might need some heating to dissolve more.

I wouldn't say there is alot of undisolved chemicals but a little on the bottom which kinda prompted me to give it a shake. Do you think shaking the alk part would over time reduce ph?
Thanks bertoni |

Shaking it won't change the pH. It's not useful, though, if there's only a little bit of undissolved powder.

Hi Bertoni,
I also shake the solution every single time befor dosing. I don't see any thing in the cal part, but when shaking up it kind turn a little cloudy for a while... |
