Greg, hopefully this is the place for even more questions:

What's the aspect ratio of the printed calendar photo, so we can make it that way right off the bat?

Quote:
Each member may submit a maximum of two photos per monthly contest.
What does this mean? Is this a contest to be had every month? The calendar is only one month away, so I'm sure I missed something. Or are there separate contests for each month of the calendar?

My mistake- all the photos will be used in the 2008 calendar. We will have a bakers dozen [13] months worth of contests (one contest per month and this month makes 13). Everyone can submit one photo per contest-- and each contest lasts a month.
No calendar this year - sorry for the confusion and thanks for catching that.
Greg

Regarding aspect ration- good question It would be ideal if everyone would submit images that fit the standard 8x11.5".

Gregr, you're the expert. Are you telling me you can't just turn your head to the side and hack up 13 images in your sleep?

Isn't the standard 8.5 x 11?

When does each months voting end? Or does it not end until the end of the contest? Just wondering.

Voting ends the last day of the month. The winners will be announced shortly thereafter.

There will be a new [sticky] thread for the voting, and now we're aiming for the voting to start at the beginning of each month, and the voting period is approximately ten days.

Am I missing it? Do not see a voting thread for July, will it be in the photography forum?

Thanks Doug, thought perhaps it was placed elsewhere in the forums where I was not seeing it.

Will you need a higher resolution picture of the winning pic to fit the calendar?
