Which salt is best and why? + link to article on various salts

Well i am presently using forty fanthoms salt and i have noticed that my tank might have lots of phosphates. I will need to confirm this with a test kit. In this article http://www.aquacraft.net/w0023.html , they claim that Marine Environment and BIO-SEA® Marinemix are the best and that all the other popular salts are missing elements or have too many. Can someone comment this.

There is a big debate as to what is too much or to little when talking about trace elements. Know one really knows what is the right level. There is not really much difference that is noticed from brand to brand. Some will claim one is better the the other but this is just preference.

There is some science as to why you might want more of one trace element over another but there has not really been any difference that people have experienced in their tanks on a large scale.

There is alot of info out there on different salts.

Aquacraft is a salt company, and they are touting their own products.

Instant Ocean works well for many people. I use Crystal Seas.

I've been told that Oceanic is very good also.
I'll be using it in my new 300 gallon tank very soon...

There are some comments on Oceanic in the chemistry forum. I avoid it, myself.

You mean Bioassy or Forty fanthoms or the other salt?
