My live rock is covered with white specs has been there for about 3 weeks any idea what this could be. It is also on the glass of my aquarium. I know its not the greatest pic but see if anything stands out

If this is ich please give me the best solution. I have a 28 gallon standby tank not even filled yet but I have a filter and can set it up at will. If I were to Quaranteen my fish would I have to wait for this tank to cycle? do I have time for that? How long should they stay in that tank. My main tank is a 80 gallon reef tank with 3 clowns, 1 fake idol, 1 hippo tang, 1 yellow tang, 3 cleaner wrasse, and 1 french angel. What is the best way to approach this problem I have have had such misleading information

I can tell you for sure that ich does not show up on the glass or anything else in the tank other then your fish. If you fish do not have any spots on them, then you do not have an ich problem. That said I am not sure what the stuff on your glass and live rock is, so perhaps someone does know?
Anyways your tank sounds nice. Post some pics.... |

It's not "Ich", but I'd need a better picture to have some idea of what it is. It will almost certainly be nothing to worry about.
