Superglue activator

Hello could someone please help with a question? I have been constucting a DIY calcium reactor and used superglue gel on some small parts then used activator to speed things up a bit but on looking at the can it said toxic to aqautic organisms The parts have been cleaned of spray, will they be safe to use or has the activator contaminated the glue? i think it meant dont go chuking it in the river or somthing like that.

Scrub it with a toothbrush and some dish soap and you will be fine. The activator shouldn't be used when you are working with plastic. The accelerated curing creates a bunch of heat which can melt plastic or make it more brittle. What type of material are you gluing together?

I do not know about the activator you used specificly but the ones I have used are no problem once they have dried. The harmful part seems to evaporate off.
