Deal of a Lifetime - Looking to trade for the Ultimate Corals

I have the original watermelon. I bought it from Hugo and I am looking to do a trade for the ultimate corals. So the question is do you have the ultimate coral and if you do please post it on this thread but I am also looking to do a trade for a reef tank also minimum of 150 gallons. If you would like to see what the watermelon chalice is that I have by all means look on

Please reply if you are only seriously interested.
Thank you - Charles.

The question you should ask is what is the ultimate coral to you and what would be equivalent to the original watermelon? You are trying to put a dollar sign on a trade.
Thank you for your interest.

I think what he meant was how would you define ultimate? Does it mean it's an endangered species, i.e., rare; or, does it mean something that is exuberantly irrationally expensive, i.e., more than $1K?

That is mind blowing!!! Is it as easy to care for as other echinophillias? I loved my blue., !~) Good luck with your trades Charles, that is truly a nice coral.

When you guys refer to a rare or ultimate coral, could you please show a photo or link, because I've been out of the hobby for a while and there is new stuff to see.

Thanks.

all this talk about originallity is reminding me of my SAT essay i took in october...on how no one is completely original

for me its not original after there are more than one...only the first one is original...but it had to come from somewhere...

this coral may be the original from Hugo...but there are others before it that havent been collected in the wild

well that coral the "hugo" had that now myusername has is the coral that is so well known among all the reefers on this, there for its original because its a frag of the piece that everyone fell in love with? And i would also like to know if there is a definition or certain kind of coral that relates to ultimate coral?

I think by ultimate, Charles just means an LE, rare or popular sought after corals... Many people have the sunset monti, purple monster, pink lemonade, oregon tort so now they arent rare, but they are sought after by those that havent yet aquired them.

Some may think the LE status is bull, but they are ALL nice, none the less...

Keep in mind Charles is looking for more then one ultimate coral as the title states, its plural.

I think it would help alot if Charles would post a picture of "his" watermelon so we know exactly what we're getting.

But if it hasn't been trimmed down since the last time I saw it, that piece can be made into probably 15 frags if not more.
