Stronger treatment for Pop-Eye?

I have been treating my clown fish in a QT for weeks now and her pop-eye hasn't gotten any better. I have been useing Maracyn-Two. Is there something else I can try? Or should I possible double the dose per day of Maracyn-Two?

one eye or two?

And have you tried magnesium sulfate (Epsom salts). TBN per 5 galls in QT... some folks will say it does not work as well for popeye in SW... l I say it does. No harm regardless (hardens the water and adds mag at worst )

Unilateral popeye is usually related to injury. Bilateral popeye is usually related to a bacterial infection. Being that both eyes are now infected, would have to consider bacterial cause.

Nitrofurazone or kanamycin are good alternatives.

Nitrofurazone you can get in a pet store, and kanamycin you can order online. I just got some from www.fishfarmacy.com.

As I recall Seachem sells neoplex and kanaplex which are proprietary labels for those those antibiotics. Check out their website to confirm.

day #2
Now the fish has a large clear bubble off the side of her eye.....

Also It seems like she is possible blind.... or is it a side affect of the pop eye? When and if the eyes get back to normal is there a chance she will regain her sight?
