Gph ? & 4'

Hey I have an AC 802 Powerhead now in my sump pumping about 4' up back to my tank. I think it is rated at 400 GPH is this enough ? My tank is a 54 Gal
If not what pump should I replace it with ?
Thanks `

i think you need a little more flow than that, i would go with a magdrive pump if you dont' want to use an external pump.

that by itself is not enough flow for a reeftank, im sure its pushing less then 200gph at 4ft. the water in the tank would be extremly placid

isn't the rule of thumb 10x/hr? with some turning as much as 25x/hr!

The rule of thumb is 10x with most high end reefs pushing 40x or more! More is better in this case!

A MagDrive 9.5 will do the job.
