Question about Red X

I'm not sure what am I doing wrong but I post pics as IMG and after I post it , it shows the picture for sometime and after an hour or 2 all i see is a red 'X'
Why is it doing that? Is it becasue the site I got the pics from require me to log-in to see my pics?

i think the link is bad for some reason- either the picture isn't where it's supposed to be, or perhaps you need to be registered on that server to view the pictures- or perhaps remote linking is not allowed on home1.nikonnet.com.
it could be something else entirely- i'm sure not a computer whiz

You may be onto to something about being a site that you have to be logged into.

I clicked on the red x and cut and paste the address into my browswer. It takes me to the Nikon home page and says page cannot be found.

You could try to post your picture in your own gallery here on reefcental and use that link for your picture. That will solve the problem.

Yea some sites, like webshots, don't like pic linking. It will work for a few hours or days then you get the red X.
