Anyone own a Oceanic RR glass tank

What do you think of an Oceanic RR glass tank? Do you recommend?

Only reason I went with the AGA RR tank is because AGA has the thinner center brace verses Oceanic's large (wide) center brace.

The center brace on an Oceanic is glass (at least it is on mine which is the older squared corner overflow style). Now Oceanics have Megaflows and seem quite simialr to All Glass (same company)

I have a custom Oceanic RR 180. The tank is quality built. Seams are nice and clean. Center brace is 18' though. Built in overflow is strong with glass on the inside and black thick plastic on the outside. Im happy with it.

I have two. Built solid but depending on the size of the tank the glass support is a PITA. It's to big. My 58g doesn't have one but the 75g has one down the center.

Thanks for the comments, so it sounds like Oceanic tanks are built like a tank, very well made and the only complaint is the center support that is too wide. I think this is what I gather from the postings???

My Oceanic 58 RR doesn't have a center brace, and the overflow is in the middle.

I am seriously considering the 90g RR or the 105g RR. The acrylic guy that built 2 of my tanks highly recommended Oceanic if I decide to go with glass this time. Just wanted to see what feedback I can get on Oceanic tanks. Anyone have either the 90RR or 105RR?

I have an oceanic 135 (72x18x24), older style with the two overflows in the rear corners. The center brace is a pain, but some sort of bracing is a necessary evil unless you increase the thickness of the glass, but then the cost would increase significantly. Overall, I am very happy with my oceanic tank.

If i had it to do over, I would get tank that is deeper rather then long. If you looking for a reef tank, a 120g (48x24x24) would be very nice!

Yes, I have an Oceanic "Brick Style" 180 w/ no center brace and I absolutely love it!
It is made with 3/4" Diamante low iron glass...crystal clear!

Does anyone have an Oceanic tank with a dark color back? Don't know if they make one with smoke color glass on back and my LFS have no idea nor their regional reps.

The center brace is a p.i.t.a. to keep salt free if you have a high flow system. Look for the brick style tanks if they still make them. I just painted my back black to match the overflow.
