coralvue ballast wiring help

I have 2 coralvue retro setups and i need help wiring them.
The ballast has a blue wire, brown wire, and yellow/green wire.
The socket has black wire and white wire. Which color goes to the black and which goes to the white? These are 400watt ballast.
Thanks for your time and help,

Well I would put blue to white and brown to black and assume that green/yellow is ground.

Then I would turn it on. If that didn't work, then I wold switch the blue and brown wires.

Of course I am a test first and ask questions later kind of idiot.

I know nothing about electronics also and I should not be giving advice but I don't think you can hurt it via my previous instructions.

Help someone.

Coralvue emailed me saying the brown and the blue are
interchangable and as you said the yellow green is the
ground. What is the purpose of grounding the reflector?
That is what the yellow green is for. Anyway I wired them
up and they fired right away, so all is good.

Thanks,

Woo woo !!

That is good to hear. When in doubt, it is always good to use the ground. Keeps the electric police off your back.
