Has anyone used zomania,com
has anyone used zomania to buy rics, I was thinking of buying some from them, if anyone is also interested in getting a group order together let me know.

Looks quite alluring.
I may want to jump in for a 10-pack rics. Do you know they mean 10 different kinds or just random 10? It would be nice if I can see them before sending my money. |

I saw a few post like that, but that was a few years ago so I wasn't sure. I'm not 100% sure about this but I did find out that all the problems were from the old owner and someone new had taken it over, when I checked out his website it now seems to be ran out of a LFS in St. Louis. there were a few guys in the Corallimorpharians forum that bought from them recently and seem pretty happy. of course I'm still not sure if they're a good vendor, I just cant seem to find any good rics or Yuma mushrooms at a good price in any LFS. I find some on Manhattanreefs sometimes, but if your not watching the site every second someone else's seems to buy them.
if anyone finds any info. on them please let me know. also I figure if a few people get together, including myself, to buy maybe a small 10 pack just to check them out, It's not that much of an investment. thanks Gus

I like fragglereef, I don't know if he has a sponsor forum here but check out the responses from people in the feedback forum on nano-reefs. I have ordered from them 3x and have had awsome orders.
I ordered from coralfanatics and was happy with the pieces I got, although there was slight confusion with my order. Premiumaquatics has some corals and they have AWSOME customer service, although I never ordered corals from them. I got 35lbs live rock and most of my dry goods and equipment. |

ZoMania is under new Ownership and Nic the previous owner that scammed people is no longer involved and doesnt even live in the u.s. anymore. We are trying to make people aware of that and turn the business around to be a premier website for livestock. Chad

Sorry to knock your company and if I offended you; but why not change the name, especially when you have an online company.
Usually people keep the name of a store when it has a good reputation. If you bought the company and are starting over then I would post on both forums b/c a quick search revealed many more negative postings than positive. Good Luck! |

No, I understand. Trust me this is not the first time I have had one of these conversations,since buying zomania. I kept the name because beleive it or not there was a lot of people that had good results and the business had good flow of customers and seemed to have a good search ranking bringing people to the site. I also still have my other site and just run both.

I guess now that your in this thread, do you give a variety when someone orders a 10 pack or more, I'm looking for about a 10 pack and just want to make sure I don't get the same ones, also if any one is interested in ordering also maybe we can get a group order together. Gus

I was in Ohio last week speaking at two aquarium clubs and stopped in at a store that had a wonderful collection of corals, actually the best I've seen in a long time. Not only quality, but quantity and also a nice selection of frags they do in store.
Serdar, who owns the store was very nice, I hand picked some great corals and he shipped them to me upon my return back to NY. The packing job was also excellent. He also has an online service at: http://www.phishybusiness.com/

Well I talked to chad, and he can't ship out my rics on monday, so we worked out shipping out on wednesday, i will get them thursday and have the pics up by thursday night at the latest. ;D
Chad seems like a really nice guy, and got back to me right away about not being able to ship it when I asked and was more than willing to work something out. I'd recommend zomania.com, definitly can't wait to get them |

Their customer service is also very knowledgeable and friendly, I hope one day our club can organize some group buys similar to NJ Reefer Club and help the members save some money. I still buy some items from "Marine Depot" because they have the best website, and I feel guilty by just using their website without buying anything. They are too far away from New York, and mostly their prices are higher than Premium Aquatics and Champion. I was not aware that Premium Aquatics selling live stocks, I will possibly give them a try. Looking forword to showing you the mess of my 400G new tanks setup in our LIRA monthly meeting which will be hold by 7pm this Friday at my office. James |
