Must be x.x, going to add a venturi today and see how it goes. Its on a 45g and I am still wondering why havent I gotten any skimmate, the concentration cap is super dirty, and I still have some bubbles. The only time I get skimmate is when I add water conditioning, than I get super super wet skim. I wonder does my fluval 304 canister really not have a impact on my skimming?

Make sure that your waste tube is not clogged, & that the end of it is not submerged in your waste collection jar.
Also mine does not put out much skimmate if the concentration cap is too dirty.

Hmm I didnt know that thanks for the info on the cap buster. I'll take it out and clean it. Also my wate tube does go into a 1gallon milk jug but is not touching the waste or anything could it be that thers too little space for air and causese it not to go down?

I am interested in this skimmer, hows the skimmate at the beginging? Evile how much skim have you gotten at the begining? Without the pump? Do you still have micros?
Are there more people using the typhoon? I am curious and would like more input on this skimmer as it seems that there are very few who have this skimmer....

The micros are much better, but it still leaks out a few microbubbles--ALL hang on skimmers do. Without the air pump, it still produces decent skimmate, but adding one greatly enchances that.

I want to know what you got when it was stock, dark green skimmate? How much do you get a day?Did you have problems with the foam going down the pipe? If so how did you fix it? I want to gather more info before buying one. And is there anything else I need to know? I was also planning to go with the odyssea ps75, so debating which is better.

I have both, and I can tell ya that the Typhoon KILLS the PS75 in skimmate production. As far as how much I got a day without a pump, can't really remember, but it did produce quickly. I have it emptying into a 5 gallon bucket, so it's hard to tell. I posted pics a few pages back of what it does now. Why not just get a typhoon, and buy a cheap whisper air pump to hook to the air line? It is an effective and cheap "mod".

Mine is pretty gunked up at the top and nasty... But no skimmate down the pipe, Still wondering if my fluval 304 canister is causing it not to skim or is it the prop?

If it gunked up, clean it. I also have a canister filter, that shouldn't/doesn't affect it to my knowledge. Is it creating nice bubbles? Are they rising and breaking in the concentrator top?

Your concentrator cap/bubbles should look like this:
