Anyone ever buy a glass aquarium online?

Hi Guys,

I've always heard that glass aqarium are too expensive and heavy to shift. Has anyone ever found a company that makes it work? I'm looking a 90gallon AG and I'mnot thrilled with any of the LFS prices or service.

Thanks!

Glasscages are ok quality for an ok price but shipping makes them not worth it. My lfs sells 90 gallons (All Glass brand) with stands and tops for around 350 or less depending on sales. They say they only charge dealer cost for tanks. How much are you looking to spend?

http://glasscages.com/?sAction=Deliv is by far the cheapest and they make deliveries. I would check the vendor feedback forums for more information.

Many companies ship glass aquariums. I personally have a GC custom aquarium. The tank itself is built solid but they mass-produce aquariums, so don't expect high-end details like black silicone, nicely ground edges, external overflows, etc. That said, they are amazingly affordable, especially if you catch their truck as it travels across the country ($60 delivery charge!).

If you want to see pictures of the two tanks they made for me (and hear the story behind that) check out my thread:
