Opinions/Experience Wanted: Skimmer Selection

I'm setting up a 55 gal. FO. The only inhabitant will be a Humma. I have a chance to get an Aqua C Remora (not the pro) which is rated up to 65 gal. With this being a preditor tank I really wanted a skimmer rated at around 100 gal. but since this deal come up I'm considering going for it. My question is, do you guys think the Remora will be enough skimmer for the tank and inhabitant? I don't have any experience w/ the Remora skimmers so if anyone has input as to the quality and performance that would be helpful also. I know they have a good rep. which is the only reason I am considering it. TIA.

P.S.
I live close to the ocean so occasionally the Humma will recieve live food.

without a sump your two best choices for hang-on skimmers are the Remora's and the Coralife super skimmers. For ease of use and 'attractiveness' you should go with the remora. For a bit more power, and the ability to use in-sump if you get one, the coralife would be better probably.

but if you do have a sump already the discussion could get alot more detailed.

Thanks for the response. I don't have a sump for lack of room in the stand. It would make things alot easier if I did, but it's just not feesable.

I'm looking at deltec hang-ons right now, so far they seem superior to everything else on the market

i haven't seen that one before, but i just looked it over and i can definitely say i'd like to see one in person. I wonder how loud they are? I like the fact that no pump has to sit in the tank (a BIG consideration given the track record of my trigger's teeth!)

Where have you seen the best price on these skimmers, if I may ask?

I haven't really looked for them at online stores. I keep running into deals on different message boards and E-Bay. The one I'm thinking about is being sold at NanoReef.com, but I think there is a couple for sale here also. The pump actually sits inside the tank but you can get an optional surface skimmer that will cover the pump and exhaust.
