Exclamation Firefish with ich

Hello, I have a 70 gallon tank with live rock, shrimp, feather duster, and four firefish. Ammonia 0, Nitrite 0, and ph 8.4.

I noticed ich a few days ago. I have been treating with Chem-marine stop parasites, and Coral Vital. It been two days and its not getting better. I have had saltwater for 10 years(before I had groupers and Lionfish) and never had ich. What do you have to do to get rid of it? In freshwater all you do is dump Maracide in and do water changes. In saltwater it seems like ich is bulletproof.

Please help.

Thanks.

There is no effective method for treating fish with "Ich" in the presence of invertebrates. The two proven methods are copper and hyposalinity which should be carried out in a separate tank. My preference is for hyposalinity.

How long have you had the firefish? Did you quarantine them before placing them in the tank? How long have the fish had spots?

Please see: Marine "Ich" and Hyposalinity
