Pepper Corn Monti.

Thats the name I gave this coral with.

Nothing quite like it, even some of Steve Tyrees LE monti. this coral put them into shame. The closest I could come up w/ is Monti. Effusa, encrusting to plating, toxic green body w/ dark blue polyps. Grows pretty moderate.
I spread 2 frags. of this locally, hope they are alive. When it grow more I will share it to others. We dont wanna loose this, coz' u will never see it ever. This is the 1st. one and the only w/ all my yrs. of reefing.

Enjoy!

"Menard, do you need any other work done?"

I second that question.

menard - I'd even mow your lawn and do yardwork for a frag of that

Menard,

In December I picked up a dozen frags from you. Most you cut fresh, but you had a monti on a circular frag disc that has amazing blue polyps. My corals are looking pale right now, but this one is growing quickly and the blue is still looking great.

Was I by chance one of the people you sold this frag to? Can I expect this to turn a nice green once I figure out the issue with my tank causing my corals to lighten up?

mbierzyc,

As a fellow reefer, I would be honored if you would let me hold/keep it safe for you... I know you would do the same for me. Just until you get the water issue straightened out. And if it happens to drag on for months/years, that's alright too!

hehe

Matt
The coral on a circular disc is Monti. Peltiformis, mustard yel., blue polyp and the growing edge develops a very nice lemon yel color, not the same one. Peltiformis grows rapid this one aint.
U can bring the color back just hit'em w/ lots of light, derectly under the bulb, peltiformis seems to like plenty of light.

The coral in the picture does not like plenty of light. I try to expose'em to strong lighting but lost all the color, so I move her back, tuck under the tank brace.

PEACE!

Thanks for the light info menard.

Jennifer, my coral isn't the same, but if you want to come by my place with frag tools and something to trade; I'd be glad to do it. Send me a PM if you'd like.
