need help fast
After hours of tearing down my tank, I final caught the sick lyretail anthia. I had this guy for about a week and have been wasting away. He has stringy white poop, fin and tail rot, and also some areas the skin is peeling away. He hasnt been eating but is very alert. I have him in qt. I have maracyn on hand and also copper. Please tell me what I should do. I will treat him by tongiht. Thanks -Mike

I would treat the fish with Maracyn-Two, nitrofurazone or furanase. It sounds like a systemic bacterial infection to me. Wouldn't hurt to use hypo to if you keep the pH up.

I have maracyn not the 2..will that do? If not, I will go out and purchase part 2. I also started with the copper treatment. Hopefully that wasnt a bad move. Ive also lowered the salinity.

Maracyn won't help. Maracyn-Two is a different antibiotic. Sorry, but copper is a bad move.
