Cloudy eyes

I have a blueface angel that has been in QT for about 3 weeks. A few days ago her one eye started to get cloudy. I did a 50% water change right away. I've been doing 25% water changes every 2 days on the tank. Today I noticed that the other eye is now cloudy. I'm not sure how to treat this. Does anyone have any recommendations? Thanks

What are the water parameters in the Q tank? This might provide a clue. How long has the Q tank been set up?

The Q tank has been setup for about 5 months. The parameters are pretty good. Ammonia .5, no2 0, no3 20

I just retested and ammonia was .50 and no3 was 40. I'm guessing that the poor water quality is whats causing the cloudy eyes?

I would agree. Angels are sensitive to begin with. Not sure why there is any ammo in a 5 moth old tank. Start doing water changes to get that in check. How are you filtering this tank?

Its a 20gal long tank. I'm using a aquaclear 500 hob filter. I'm guessing there is ammonia from feeding plus the fish is 4 1/2" long so it's producing alot of waste.

Is maracyn 2 the best anti biotic for treating cloudy eyes?

Maracyn-Two at double strength each day is a good choice for bacterial infections of the eye. However, if the cloudy eye is caused by poor water conditions (ie ammonia) then it is not going to help until you get the ammonia under control.

I've done a few water changes and I also cleaned out the aquaclear filter and the ammonia is down to 0 and the no3 is down to 10. One of the angels eyes looks a little less cloudy. So the clean water is starting to work. I also noticed she was eating last night which she hasn't done in a few days.
Should I still use the maracyn2? Thanks for all the help.
