I am so sorry that your clown died. I would be very sad, and would probably cry if George passed on. He is a male seahorse and I am very attached to him.

are you able to "handfeed" ur clown? i do have a clarkii clown.. it's responding well to hand feeding... perhaspe u can add some garlic sup... it works well with "sick" fishes... do your clown look "adnormal"? as in does the fins open up nicly or does it close up? have ya gotta anemone in ur tank?

yeap... i'll agree with that... garlic is know to be effective among most disease... though it gonna give ur fish a bad breath!! LOL

Is it? All I have seen is some people claiming success and others not. I have seen no scientific evidence that is effective for even one malady.

i've heard most people who are ablr to treat their fish... in fact they recc it as a regular diet... not to sure abt 100%success but it diid help my clarkii clown the other time too =)

How can you be sure the garlic has made any difference at all?

it slows down the growth... but be sure that u are able to place it in a hosp tank... the spots will go off.... w/o garlic i think i will take a much longer time and also the spots may spead...

I guess you misunderstood my question.

I was not asking what action you think that garlic might take, but rather, what makes you so certain it is doing anything at all. How can you be sure that the fish would not have recovered if you had not fed them with garlic soaked food?
