Question what silicone is safe for aquariums???

just wondering what kind of siolicone is safe to use, we picked some up "GE" makes it, not sure if we want to use it though.

i heard that alot of ppl use GE 1, and i used it for my sump, but haven't tested the sump yet

I think thats what it is under the label GE it says Silicone 1

is that right?

Be sure that it doesn't contain any mold inhibitors. There are special aquarium silicone products that I've found at a hardware store, but one of the GE products is fine. I think the DIY forum will have a list or something.

GE Silicone 1, 100% silicone is what I've used. The number 2 has mold inhibitors and you don't want to use that.
