&*#&@$* carnivore coral!!

Just last week i woke up to find that my bubble coral had eaten my lawnmower blenny. I thought maybe the blenny died and wound up within the bubble corals reach and it got eaten. Well, it wasn't just a fluke as today the next victim was a sailfin tang. I doubt that in both these cases the fish died and happened to drift into the bubble coral. Has any one ever had a carnivorous bubble coral like i have?

My bubble is a larger than a softball and ate a peppermint shrimp. All other tankmates have been safe.

Here's the carnivore in feeding mode:

wow. I never had a problem with my bubble when I had a 5-6 one in my 12 g. I got rid of it eventually, but no eaten fish. Perhaps it was because I consistently fed it, which may have been why it got so big in the first place. Do you feed your bubble?

I agree.

My peppermint was only in the tank for a few days before being consumed. New inhabitants may get eaten if not from the same region of the world.

i guess thats why most fish tend to know to stay away from anenomes because almost every region has one
