Where to get nori?
I was wondering where to get nori? are their different kinds? if so what kind should i get for my tangs

go to the asian market, i got like 100 foot by foot sheets for 18 bucks. you cant beat that price.

check the asian section at your grocery store - Just make sure that it is plain nori and not seasoned

I get mine from Petsmart. It's dried, but works just fine for me. My fish love the stuff, especially when soaked in garlic.

there is one called super H mart in niles. if you take 94, exit at caldwell and take that to oakton, make a left and you should see it on the left side at the first light. its by the homedepot.
i might have spelled the streets wrong but you get the idea lol

? would garlic nori be like adding the garlic cure drops to the food or is that bad. i know you said no seasoning just curious if that one seasoning would be different and not be bad

I just put a Nori leaf into a cup with about a half cup (maybe a third cup of salt water. I put one drop of Garlic Xtreme in the cup, and swoosh it around for a few minutes. After a few minutes, take the nori out and place into tank...now you have happy tangs and angels

If you are ever in Lisle, at the corner of College Rd and Green Trails, in the little strip mall there, there's a very good little market with nori all over. There would obviously be many, many such shops closer to you, but this one is the closest that I know of for sure.

I've been banned from using garlic at my house... I tend to overdose with garlic and the smell lingers for days

woodman's (grocery store) , oak and douglas in n. aurora, has unseasoned nori. they also have mrs wages lime.
