Food is very subjective. Some people make their own food but most people buy it.

Most people stick to brine shrimp, mysis or mysid, flake food, pellet food. It is pretty much up to you as to what you feed your fish.

What I would recommend is that whatever you feed your fish, you supplement it with some type of vitamins. The problem with fish food is that is very low in vitamins and elements that fish really need, therefore it must be soaked in some type of vitamin enrichment.

Most people use Selcon:

Do try to give your fish some meaty food. Dont just give them flake food and brine shrimp. Give them that, yes but also give them something with a bit more substance.

In terms of coral food, the food you provide feeds the corals indirectly. The food you provide feed the fish which in turn makes the fish poop and then feed the corals.

Also the food you add to the tank will feed the pods and lil shrimp that will in turn reproduce and create plankton that will directly feed your corals.

That is the beauty of a reef tank, everything is connected somehow!!!!
