Depends on where you live. I live in Ohio and get all my LR from Premiumaquatics.com in Indy, they have the best rock at the best price around

If you can find a local club you will save tons. FWIW, I bought some carribean live rock form drfostersandsmith and it was horrible stuff. At the time I didn't know that if you called them up after receiving the shipment they'd send you out another one asap. So customer service is probably one of there strong points.

I have found that watching the people who are selling out there tanks are the best places to get it you always get good critters with it some times bad buts that is anywhere and its a heck of a lot cheaper normally. I just bought a whole 75 gallon system for what 100 pnds of live rock would of cost and it was full of corals fish and 150 pnds live rock

BUHDAS72 is definatly right, buying from someone elses established tank would definalty be the most economical. Im sure on the For Sale section of these forums you could find someone selling off some LR.

If that does not work for you, I bought some very nice Kaelini from livestockusa.org and was very very happy with the rock and customer service I received.

79 pounds worked out to about $3.75 a pound, maybe $4.00 and that included shipping to St.Louis, which was only $54.
