Emperor Angelfish pairs?

Has anyone had or known someone who has had a pair of emperor angels? If so, do you know what size tank they were in and when they were paired up?

thanks

p.s. I'm just curious

Hi Chicki,
I've seen it a few times; each quite successful, however they were all in tanks 400gal or larger.

While diving I see them in pairs quite often.

In tanks I saw a magnificent Sri Lankan pair in a ~700G corals only (and two emperor : ) )set up, the tank is less than 20" height.

I'm in the opinion that they should ban taking out such fish, they should stay in nature and breed.
They should allow taking out only juv and young adults .

thanks guys,
I agree with you Vila. Although I wouldn't think they'd be catching many mature ones.
Ed, do you know if they turn gender as they pair up or mature? or are born and stay a certain sex?

Don't know if you like them but, I heard that Scribble Angels pair up pretty easily. There are very slight differences between the males and females. I have a friend getting me a pair that will be kept by themselves. I can't wait!
