Lithonia 400 Watt 120 / 208 / 240 / 277 Volt Ballast's with 30 " reflector and lens and 400 watt G.E. MVR 400 U Metal Halide Bulbs do you mean 4x400watt balasts and 4x400 watt MH bulbs?? |

I don't know if this is a "good" light..it more so depends on the size of the bulb/reflector. If it seems big enough for your tank, I'd go for it. $45 for a switchable ballast is a good deal. |

Try to hear one run. Some MH ballasts are very loud.
Unless that won't effect you. |

That was his description for the lights. Wasn't sure what they were exactly. He did say that they were from a warehouse. Also said that he sold some to somebody raising angel fish (not sure why they would need MH).
Can I use metal halides that were in a warehouse? I'm assuming that everything is the same. Just wattage and the type of bulb matters, right? |
