Foam for bubble trap.

If any one uses pond foam or any foam do you clean it regularly or just leave it alone and et your fuge handle any possible nitrate?

Thanks

Clean it at least once a week, if not twice. Why not let the fuge take care of the big picture

It has.
Sometimes I get floaties and I don't want to run a canister to polish it. Figure the foam will trap these floaties.

do you have a sump? Filter sock? I have a bubble trap after my filter sock and only clean it once a week. Since it will cause nitrate problems, i would clean it as suggested above, if not more if you have no other type of media filter..

I have refugium and it works great but I just wanted to make the water clearer by removing really small particles. (being Picky)

I had canisters before and the water was so clear but always had problems with parameters.

Thanks guys
