re-charging calcium reactor

My calcium reactor is getting low on substrate...

Should I dump out the leftover or just add new stuff on top of the old?

(Are you supposed to rinse ARM before you put it in?)

Thanks in advance.

Start fresh. You can rinse the media if you want - it won't hurt it.
