Nina,

this will be a sad day but do remember that it's not a funeral but a going home celebration like someone mentioned, So wish I could be there for you in person but I am with you in spirit, I do wish to meet you one day and it will happen trust me . For now I will say a silent pray and have a moment of silence to remember a great man.

much love
shanna

Symapathies to you and yours. Let it in when you need to. This may seem unwelcome, but, It will, eventually get better.

I speak from experience (unfortunately), So I sincerely send all the sympathy in the world. Hang in there. Best wishes.

LMAO, turtle bait! That's my kinda guy. I bet it was just to darn funny seeing the dogs licking the chicken off of him. I can almost picture the look he gave you when you were laughing.

Stay strong today and if not we will be strong for you.

So I hear this song come on my radio today while I'm working at the house. It made me smile and think of you Nina,'cause how many songs have the name Charlene in them? Then I glanced at the time, 10:30 here on my coast, which meant it was 9:30 there for you. That made me smile more. So I raised a Pepsi in toast of Gary and all he has given us all. I have no doubt he ordered up that sunrise just for you this morning Nina.

They were farm kids way down in Dixie
They met in high school in the sixties
Everyone knew it was love from the start
One July in the midnight hour
He climed the water tower
Stood on the rail and painted a 10ft heart
In John Deere green

On a hot summer night
He wrote Billy Bob loves Charlene
In letters 3 foot high
And the whole town said that he should have used red
But it looked good to Charlene
In John Deere green

They settled down on 80 acres
Raising sweet corn,kids and tomaters
They went together like a hand and a glove
On a clear day from their front yard
If you look and know what to llok for
Off to the east you can still read his words of love
In John Deere green

On a hot summer night
He wrote Billy Bob loves Charlene
In letters 3 foot high
And the whole town said the boy should have used red
But it looked good to Charlene
In John Deere green

Now more then once the town has dicovered
Painting over it ain't no use
There ain't no paint in the world that'll cover it
The heart keeps showing through
In John Deere green

On a hot summer night
He wrote Billy Bob loves Charlene
In letters 3 foot high
And the whole town said that the fool should have used red
But it looked good to Charlene
In John Deere green

Ahh,paint it green boy
In John Deere green

On a hot summer night
He wrote Billy Bob loves Charlene
In letters 3 foot high
And the whole town said the boy should have used red
But it looked good to Charlene
In John Deere green

John Deere green

I hope you made it through this difficult day Nina. I thought about you several times and I can't imagine a more difficult day. I think of how I would feel in your place and it makes me want to cry. Take care of yourself and hold your lollipop kids close, they will need it too.

Nina, I thought about you all day. I am still so sorry. I do keep smiling though remembering the stories you've shared about you and Gary in the past.

PLEASE take care of yourself and lean on the Lounge when you need it.

We still love you Gary!

well, doggone it, the photobucket gods are cursed tonight and i can't seem to get it to upload the photo of the RC flower spray that took my breath away! i guess it'll have to wait till tomorrow because i am ready to collapse and john and melissa want me to go watch some t.v. and i wonder if they really think i'm gonna be able to stay awake for more than 7.5 seconds!

oh wait!!! it worked!!!......

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

maybe i can do this in stages or aliie might have to change to 5-line rule to 500-line rule!!!

i viewed gary at 8:30 this morning with cheri, his s-i-l and john and melissa. he looked so peaceful and at rest and dino's little stuffed corgi laying next to him was beautiful. i put his swiss army knife in his pocket along with a hershey bar and a couple of pictures of us together. then i stroked his hair and kissed him and told him i loved him and will love him till the day i die and then i told andy i was ready for them to close the casket...

we left the room while they did that and when we came back in, we still had a few minutes before people started to arrive and so john and melissa and i walked all around and looked at all of the flowers and read the tags and when i got to the RC flowers, i just completely lost it. meltdown of the day #1....

and then i came across other arrangements sent by other loungers and, you guessed it, meltdown of the day #2....

there will NEVER be words adequate enough to impart to all of you how much i depended on you to get through this day. i have so much more to tell you...signs from gary...secret cards tucked into the guest book...the bagpiper...

stay tuned for part II coming up tomorrow!

xoxoxo nina
