Arc eye hawk.

Who keeps this fish and what have you experienced in terms of aggression and reef compatability? Depending on the majority of the responses it would be housed with the fish listed in my tank description. Thanks Mile.

We have one at work. This individual is very aggressive and will demolish any coral we put in the tank.

Does the fish nip the coral or is it due to the perching?

I had one and traded in at the LFS. Very aggressive plus perching from this fish will make corals, Candycane likewise shy to open up. That was my experienced but yours might be different. good luck

Had one in my old 90 gallon. He was one of the last fish in, so his aggression wasn't as bad, however he promptly killed off my cleaner shrimp. He would also eat hermits if really hungry. He ate large chunks of Krill. He went to a friend when I moved, and he did relatively well in a 55 gallon. Personality wise, the flame hawk is nicer.

I don't think I would put one with a geo pygmy hawk. I think in time there would be a good chance the pygmy would get ate.

Get a Falco's hawkfish. I put mine in my tank first and he has tolerated all of my additions. They are smaller so they are less of a threat. I have had no problems

I have one in my 180 reef, he doesn't bother the corals or my Cleaner shrimp but he is aggressive and he will bug my Ocellaris Clown and my Damsel some. He doesn't bother bigger fish.
He is not full grown so I can't say he'll NEVER eat the shrimp
