My Blue Tang

I have it for three years already. Not sure what happened, I saw it flip on one side(it went back up though) and was breathing heavily. The last change I did was a 10% water change and I added a chromis about 2 weeks ago. The tang has been solo for about a year. Before the flip I saw a change in its behaviour, coming out of rocks lesser and other things never done before. Anyone has any idea on what could be the factor ?

If you didn't qt the Chromis, you may have introduced a parasite such as Ich or Velvet

nope, but currently my tank only has my tang and a chromis so any treatment will be done directly in the tank I think. No corals as well or anemones.

Then be careful treating the fish in your tank, some medications can ruin live rock.

What size tank is it in?(not trying to be tang police) Since you've had it for 3 years it might be outgrowing the space. Especially with a new addition to the tank, it could be stressed out.

Is it still eating?

Could it possibly not be getting enough oxygen? You could try putting in a small air pump, if you have one.
